I really like this guy and I really like his honesty he let me come to see each of my breaks and break down information and find out I never needed a brake job just cleaning and this is what I like about him very honest and his name is awesome you really wear this name very well very honest person I like this place I will recommend all of my friends and family and get there and break inspection here😎👌🏽😀

One of the few that make you feel they are being honest. Thought I needed front brakes replaced but when I came to pickup my car was told the front brakes were fine, but rear brakes needed replacement and because they were still under warranty from last time, the parts were free, just charged labor… about $110. Pretty sure the Nissan dealership would have replaced the front brakes that didn’t need it and charge me $350

Excellent customer service. My local dealership told me I would need expensive work related to my brakes. This shop went through the recommendations with me line by line and assessed the car with me to review what actually needed to be done vs not. Did not try to upsell me, saved me a ton of money. very kind and easy to schedule an appointment. didn't end up needing brakes at the moment but will 100% be back when i do. asim reversed my car for me so i wouldnt have to back out myself.

Went by for a brake inspection and possible replacement. He was super nice from the get-go. Walked me around as he measured each brake pad and very quickly and honestly informed me that the brakes were still very good and that nothing needed to be done. He even gave me advice on my tires and rotated them for me when he put them back on. Definitely coming back here when my brakes eventually wear down. Thanks Assim

Not many people are honest like the guy who helped me today, so hopefully you choose just brakes. The check brake fluid light came on my BMW X2 so I bought EBC pads and took them here. The owner inspected my brakes and rotors and said they didn't need replacement for a while. Then he opened the hood, tested the brake fluid, said it was fine, reset the service light and told me it was free of charge.

He saved me over $700, so the least I can do is leave him a good review and hopefully the good karma comes back his way. When I actually need new brakes, this will be the first and only place I call.

I had an excellent experience with Just Brakes and immediately upon leaving recommended them to a couple people. They were:

- Fast. Work started at 10:15am and keys in hand by 10:45)

- Transparent. He took me to the bay, showed me my brakes with the tires taken off, explained the necessary work on the front brakes, and advised on when to get the back brakes addressed

- Affordable. Pricing was manageable and I was charged exactly what I was quoted. He even gave me some advice on a non-brake repair that I also need.

Went in for a brake inspection and possible replacement. After inspection, they told me that I had about 70-80% brake life left on each pad and didn't charge me anything even though I tried offering some tips for services. I was in and out of there in literally 15 minutes. They were extremely pleasant and honest about everything and my new go-to place for any future brake services when needed.

In contrast, several other shops that I went to for an inspection gave me elusive answers and asked me to come at 7am to get a service or told me it would take 2-3 hours to get the brakes inspected.

Got my brakes done here yesterday and I was in an out in less than 45 mins. The guy that worked on my car was very polite and didn't waste any time. Highly recommend coming here if you want fast and easy service

Everything in the reviews was true to my experience. I was able to get in the same day I called. Asim was friendly, had my car up within five minutes of arrival. He showed me my back brakes were still good, just needed a cleaning, and the front brakes and rotors were shot. (I had gone in expecting I'd have to replace all four.)

He quoted me the price for the work, and had it completed in the time it took me to walk down the street, have lunch and walk back. The price was more than fair, too.

I can't think of a single negative thing thing about the whole transaction, wish all auto repairs were this painless.

Just got my brakes done this morning and was in and out on 45 minutes.

I chose this place based on the reviews and it being open on Sundays. Asim was super honest and showed me the brakes and explained what was needed. The job ended up being way less than I anticipated. Really appreciated not being upsold, upcharged. I will use him again and recommend him as well.

There is a reason this business has 5 stars. The owner is honest and extremely knowledgeable. My brakes were squeaking in the mornings so I took it in.

He looked at my brakes and said the pads were fine, that I would receive a notice when my break pads needed replacing, and my car just squeaks when it is warming up. I noticed this was the case. He said he could replace them if it was really bothering me but I would probably hear if after they were replaced. I thanked him and told him I would be back when they need to be replaced.

The shop is also extremely tidy!

First time getting my brakes changed. Found Asim on Yelp with all 5 star reviews and that exactly the service I got. I called for a next day Saturday morning brake pad and rotor change. He was respectful and professional and straight up honest about the condition of my brakes and what needed to be done. Changed pads and rotors in an hour and I was done. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the east bay for brake change. Even let me use his bathroom :)

Just Brakes will be my go-to for brakes for as long as I'm in the Bay Area. I drive a Subaru STI and the dealership quoted me over $2k to replace my front brake pads and rotors. I knew this was way too much so I looked around and decided to go with Just Brakes. Asim was able to work around my schedule and made sure to use quality parts and I paid a fraction of what I would have had to pay at the dealership.

It's been almost a week since my brakes were replaced and everything is working great and feels just as good as my OEM brakes. Even with all the rain over the last weekend my brakes were working flawlessly.

First time here. I decided to bring my car in as I was hearing a strange sound when I pumped the brakes.

I called ahead and Asim scheduled me for the same day.

I waited only a few minutes while Asim finished up with another customer. While I waited, the customer who was waiting for his car told me he, his Dad, and grandfather have all taken their cars here for a while now. This was a good thing to hear as a first time customer.

Asim explained he was going to check things out and pulled my car in. It only took him a few minutes to remove the wheels and inspect things.

I appreciated that Asim walked me over to review what he saw and gave me an estimate of the work.

I went off to lunch and got a text within the hour that my car was done.

Great price and I felt Asim offered to only do what was needed.

Got my car serviced at the dealership and was told I need new brakes and rotors. They quoted me ~$800 for the service, which I knew was absurd. I put in a request here on Yelp and found "Just Brakes." I'm so glad I did. I was quoted $525 and could get it done as early as the next day.

I got this service done today. Asim was super kind and friendly. He was HONEST, which is so hard to come by with car services! He even walked me around to show me the measurements on the padding to confirm and provided his honest recommendation on what was urgent and what could wait in regards to service.

Called to book an appointment for the brake replacement for my Honda Odyssey at 1:30pm, was given a slot for 2pm, and was done at 2:35pm!
